Go Slow

World is not going to end tomorrow.  But still why are we running so hard.  To end the world tomorrow itself?  Yes, in the pace we are running today, our world may not sustain for longer duration.  The race in which we are running either for name, fame, money, power, ego so on and so forth is one of the biggest threat to the entire world by spoiling mother nature.  All that so called successful business giants racing for each other in their own sector are cutting the flesh of mother nature and eating in golden plates.  There is no real demand for any product in the market, but the demand has artificially getting created by the business class for their good.  Customer is happy because they have the purchasing power and getting more product / options than ever before.  Business class is also happy because they have multiple customer base and they could compete with peer’s year on year and meeting their targets.  However, the ultimate sufferer is mother nature and in turn everyone getting hit with natural calamity.

 Does this not known to everyone? No, it’s a known fact, but still both Customers & Business class are running to get “The Best”.  “The Best” of today is just getting outdated in one month to one year span and the definition of “The Best” is getting redefined every now and then.   Before civilization starts, milking the cow was not into thoughts.  Eventually, milking the cow was started, got to know multiple uses of it and started milking more and more at some acceptable limits.  But, milking the cow should not reach the limit to milk until the blood starts coming.  This is what happening with mother nature these days.  We are over exploiting mother nature’s resources and mother is bleeding all the way. 

·         Who is that damaging our mother nature?

·         Who has the complete control over it?

·         Who can bring the change to the system?

Who is that damaging our mother nature?

Its Intellectuals who are really damaging our mother nature. Thought there are multiple factors driving to damage nature (as mentioned earlier i.e., name, fame, money, power, ego etc…) the ultimate person responsible to spoil the world are those who are giving new ideas, new inventions, creative minds and in general its Intellectuals who are the factor for damaging our mother nature.  Politicians / Law makers / Bureaucrats provides platform to perform business and these business men hires Intellectual class to build a product / service and competition starts thereafter for making money or to keep the position up or to convince the stake holders etc.

Here I don’t see any customer demanding for any product.  The demand is getting created after the product has been manufactured.  Sounds bit weird though, this is what the notation sensing in this information age.  We go around lot of Mall’s, Super Markets, websites and similar attractive shops where we visit to buy something but will end up buying more than what we needed. There was no absolute demand for one such product, but by keeping a product handy or glamorous – that product is getting sold without a need.  This is one way of creating artificial demand to sell their produced product.

So, we have three classes damaging our nature: 

One: Intellectuals / creative minds / innovators who are developing new things so fast without being realizing what damage it causes to nature.  I feel, any intellectuals / creative minds / innovators must setback his invention if it is causing damage to nature.  Nature is the only God that we could able to see with our eyes for now.  Is this the way we take care of our God?

Two: Government / Law makers / Bureaucrats who provide platform to the above-mentioned class to create new things, but not keeping a control on it.  It would have been good if this class (Government body) have more control and stop such invention / production which is damaging nature.

Three:  Business class who exploits / corrupts or go to any extent possible to make money by using above two class.  They exploit Intellectuals / Creative minds / innovators at the maximum for making money or to maintain position in the market.  They just don’t care about nature or neglect with loose words such as “how my business only affecting the entire world”, “I have permission from government” so on and so forth.  They don’t accept that they are part of damaging group.

Lastly, as a common man, we started leading comfortable to luxurious life at the cost of damage to the nature.  We started getting high tech products, high speed vehicles, high comfort products in the market and majority of the people have purchasing power.  We are getting products in the market which reduce our physical & mental efforts.  Obviously, when we have such commodity and purchasing power, automatically the demand for those products will get increased.  Remember, all such huge production of comfort products leads to damage nature.  This is not just happening in one or two sector or line of business.  This is happening in all dimensions.  So, each sector / line of business small damages to the nature has now creating bigger implication to the nature, without any control.

Who has the complete control over it?

Only ONE class can control this, none other than Government.

Government can really take control / ownership of this and enforce on what their citizens need to lead basic to acceptable, convenient, uniform lifestyle.  This will be sure shot going to happen in next 50 to 100 years on a reactive basis.  After all the damage happened to the nature, Government will enforce laws on guarding nature by putting caps on production and purchase.  But, why can't the government envision this now itself and be proactive enough to save nature?  Answer is simple, the current Government officials are happy because they are getting financial revenue and they are sure they are not going to be in power or position in next 50 to 100 years.  They will not be available to answer when the situation comes.  For now, the people in the government are happy with their family by making money for their next 10 generations.

The democratic system has option of changing ruling person / party every defined term.  This is the biggest advantage for the law makers / politicians.  They come to this filed, make money in all possible ways without futuristic eyes and vanishes.  But, let’s go back, think of a traditional prince rule.  One family were ruling and the king or his family was completely accountable for any good or bad of the state / province / country.  Corruption may go down considering that king knows the fact that entire state / province / country including the citizens are his own asset.  When all belongs to him or his family, there is no way he goes corrupt.  King would be conscious enough to take any decision, because, it impacts either him or his family members who would be his successors.  But, is it practically possible to go back?  It’s not possible even in dreams!

Then, who can bring the change to the system?

Of course, me, you and all of us being responsible children of our mother nature.  It must be a revolution from our end.  We should sacrifice / compromise with our lifestyle first.

·         Let’s buy only basic needs of life.  Let’s stop buying for future or which is comfort / luxurious.  In other words, let’s stop demanding such products which is harming to the nature.  Let’s be a strong hearted people, take small pains and make our only home (earth) to be safe for our next gen.

·         Let’s use public transport wherever we can. 

·         Let’s stop buying and using AC’s unless it is basic necessary to live for that geographic condition.

·         Let’s not use unnecessary electronic gadgets

·         Let’s immediately stop using plastic products

Overall, Let’s STOP demanding or STOP to encourage artificial demand of products which are not needed to us.  Customer should create demand, not the other way.  We shall not go with glamour’s ad, shall not get settle in comfort.  Please think twice while buying any product, how this product is made, what damage it causes to the nature…  It’s going to be impossible to business or governance to waste money for what a customer don’t need.  We shall be the key player in saving our mother nature please.
